A Refundable deposit of $200 for weekly rental or $500 for monthly rental is required to hold your reservation. This must be paid by credit card via Paypal. (instructions for making deposit will be sent upon request for reservation). $125 deposit for nightly rental.

If you cancel: the entire deposit is refundable if the reservation is canceled 30 days or more before arrival date. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival date the deposit will not be refunded.

After arrival: the deposit will be refunded at the end of your stay MINUS charges for electrical* usage, damage or other applicable charges.

*Electric meter will be read upon arrival and again at checkout. Guest will be billed 23 cents per kWh. This charge will be deducted from the deposit. If the charges exceed the deposit amount guest will need to pay the outstanding balance in cash. Guests are in direct control of the amount of electrical usage and no refunds or discounts will be given relating to usage.

Apartments are offered on first come first serve basis. Availability cannot be guaranteed until deposit has been received.

Balance is due in cash (no tax charge) upon arrival or PREPAID by credit card (requires tax of 10% added). Instructions for credit card payments will be sent with reservation confirmation.

Extensions / Tentative reservations: We cannot guarantee availability for time you have not booked. If you would like to extend your stay, you may make a request and if the unit is available we will extend your reservation. You will need to pay for the extended time in order to guarantee it’s availability. We will not hold units or make tentative reservations.

Check in/out: Check-in is after 3pm. If the apartment is available, early check in can be arranged but is not guaranteed. Check out is between 8am and 12 noon. Please allow 30 minutes for check-out as electrical charges, inventory, etc must be assessed. Check-out before 8am must be arranged in advance and a fee of $25 will apply. Late checkout will result in a one day charge.

Rates: Rates are subject to change without notice. Rates are only guaranteed after booking is confirmed and you have paid the deposit.

Cancellations and refunds: Reservations must be canceled by guest, in writing at least 30 days prior to arrival date in order to receive a refund of your deposit. Refunds will not be given for early departure. If it becomes necessary for La Cresta de Oro to cancel or modify this agreement due to occurrences outside the control of La Cresta de Oro, guests will be notified promptly and shall endeavor to offer the guest alternate property choices. The guest will have a choice of accepting the substitute property and paying or receiving the difference in rate for the new property, or La Cresta de Oro will refund for unused days. In the event of changes or complete cancellation La Cresta de Oro’s liability will be limited to the refund of all payments received. In no event will La Cresta de Oro be responsible for any consequential or incidental damages, including travel expense, alternative lodging, or other expense.

Extra Services: All extra services must be paid in cash upon receipt of service. If an extra service is included in the price of the rental and is rendered by a third party (Internet, electricity, etc) and this service fails to operate through no fault of La Cresta de Oro, refunds will not be given if guest decides to depart early due to service failure.

Maid Service: Maid service is provided 1 day per week (arranged when you arrive). Duties include sweeping, mopping, empty trash, Bathrooms, Kitchen, dusting, towels and other basic duties. Bed linens will be changed once a week.

Number of Occupants: La Cresta de Oro reserves the right to cancel this contract, evict or refuse entry to parties who exceed the maximum number of occupants listed on confirmation and promotional material.

Animals: Dogs and cats may stay at no extra charge. We are located in a residential neighborhood and your animals should be kept quite at all times so as not to unnecessary disturbed the neighbors. If excess barking/noise becomes an issue you may be asked to leave and any refund will be at the sole discretion of La Cresta de Oro. Pets should be kept on a leash when in any common area (front Patio) or outside the house. Cats should not be allowed to roam freely outside the apartment. La Cresta de Oro is not responsible for any injury or loss of or to pet(s).

Children: Parental Guidance Required at all times. La Cresta de Oro does not provide babysitting services and we request that children under the age of 15 not be left on premises without adult supervision. La Cresta de Oro is not responsible for content viewed by guest(s) on Internet or television.

Other Charges: We reserve the right to charge guests for excessive use, damage (beyond normal ware and tear) or theft of facility property and belongings. We encourage guests to advise us of damage and NOT to replace damaged item(s). Guest will be charged for item repair of replacement at the sole discretion of La Cresta de Oro regardless of whether the item has been replaced by guest. Damaged items are the property of La Cresta de Oro and removal of damaged items by guests will be considered theft.

Smoking: Smoking is allowed in outside areas only. All guest rooms are Smoke Free. A cleaning fee of $100 will be charges if smoking policy is violated.

Keys: $50 per set will be charged for each set not returned.

Liability: By booking a reservation, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the company, owners, assignees, staff and other guests of La Cresta de Oro and Golden Vortex, Inc. for ANY injury or damage incurred on premises or as a result of your stay here. Resolution of disputes will be handled by independent arbitration and follow the laws of the Republic of Panama. Persons making reservations are considered Guests of La Cresta de Oro and Golden Vortex, Inc and are not renter, leasers or sub-leasers nor does this contract constitute a rental or lease agreement. This contract constitutes a private agreement between parties for an exchange of goods and or services.
